Dmitrii Ciubashenko is probably the best journalist in Moldova writing in Russian language. Always inquisitive, always investigative, always challenging, he has been consistently trying to expose the political events in Moldova from beyond the facade. Probably because of the qualities mentioned, he has been for many years persona non grata in the office of the communist President Voronin. The newspapers he had founded launched several journalist investigations that led to exposure of vastly spread corruption and mismanagement in the state sector of the country. Considered by many an uncomfortable writer, he ultimately proves to be devoted to his profession, through which he courageously tries to uncover the Truth.
